Yesterday, 1 November 2015, I FINISHED the Standard Bank 5i50 Triathlon Series out in Ekhuruleni, Germistron.
This coming Sunday 1 November 2015, I will be entering the same waters that I allowed to “beat” me a year ago. I’m not planning to let history repeat itself.
It all currently feels a little surreal…
My participation in the 5i50 African Championship taking place this Sunday 1 November 2015 has been a dream of mine the last few years.
Late last week Friday, I received an email confirming that my application ..note not entry .. to the Cape Town Cycle Tour 2016 had been successful! Needless to say I was thrilled! Overjoyed! Ecstatic! These are just some of the words that come to mind to describe how I felt at that moment, when I read the email.

Not being a morning person, when the alarm went off yesterday morning I wanted to throw the phone against the nearest wall…but I didn’t 🙂
Tuesday is the start of my training week. Monday’s are for recoveries from all the activities over the weekend, thank goodness for that, because Monday I was exhausted!
Wednesday last week was a trial. Early morning swim, followed by my first time trial this year, and loved it! It’s close to work and the run course has it’s some challenging sections, giving you some good experience of both hill and flat training…. Continue reading
